Gerald Washington is a 6'6 32 year old Heavyweight with a 14-0 10 KO's record. He's half Black and Half Mexican which could make him unstoppable if he's got good chin genes from his mother. El Gallo Negro is one of the funniest nicknames I've seen in quite a while, but he has good power and a good jab, and over all quite decent but I think he's getting into the game a little too late, although the HW division lately has been getting progressively older and older. So do any of you think this big dude from San Jose will go anywhere or will he be exposed by the Arreola's of the World. What do you think?:bbb:bbb:bbb

I do think he could KO Deontay:yep

I dont see a whole lot in him.

Hes a big strong athlete, but his ability is pretty limited. Think he may end up being another Seth Mitchell.

I think Charles Martin is the up coming American prospect we should be looking at

Yes that's true. Washington had a lot of trouble against Aguilera, who was dominated by Breseale. The scores were way too wide in favor of Gerald.

he struggled with aguilera...but he's a much better boxer than seth mitchell and guys like him. he looked sloppy but didn't absorb too much punishment in the fight with aguilera. he's looked better in the past...they may have underestimated aguilera.

he definitely has a lot of room for improvement and from the sounds of it...he knows this. i think we'll see a better version of him next time out.

I don't even rate him in the top 10 American heavies, so nah.... He could probably beat wilder though....

ring has jennings, wilder and arreolla rated in the top ten. wilder is the only impressive guy of the bunch.

Wilder is garbage... Jennings is far more impressive than Wilder, Arreola is better as well.

I rate Ruiz, Jennings, Scott, Banks, Chambers, Thompson, Breazeale, Martin, Arreola, Mansour, Cunningham, and maybe even Briggs higher than Washington.

According to Boxrec, there are now 341 active heavyweights in the usa, wich is also by far the highest amount between all nations of the earth.

To give a comparison, the whole Russia has 15 active heavyweights, according to Boxrec.
