Gerber vs. Chisora, 27 th September

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by iWantToLearnEng, Aug 30, 2013.

  1. Easy win for Chisora, knockout in round 4 or 5. Gerber lost against Sprott (twice, the first fight was a joke), struggled against Olokoun and won through robbery .. :patsch

Gerber is the same level as Wawrzyk or Pianeta.

    Winner will fight against Boytsov.

    Chisora is like Sprott plus.

Edmund is getting pimped out here.

So, little four man tourney with Gerber, Chisora, Boytsov and Hammer with a push toward contention at stake? :think That doesn't set a horrible precedent.

He's much worse than Pianeta. Gerber is basically a much worse version of Helenius minus the power and with an awful defence. One of the worse defenses in the division. He has respectable power and decent heart, nothing else is going in his favour.

A sense-able fight for Chisora really. I've been saying for a while Gerber would be an easily marketable fight for someone who's not top class like Chisora. It would be very hard not to look good against Gerber. Chisora may get the stoppage here.

Funny how Gerber gets a shot at the EBU title, when he lost to Sprott, who is even ranked ahead of him by the EBU-ratings.

Well he did beat the decent'ish Oloukun while Sprotty lost since. I think Sprott is fighting tonight anyway.

I like four fighter eliminators. People earn their title shots like Pulev has. :good

    Gerber?

Unless Gerber somehow survives and we have 3 German judges, Chisora has nothing to worry about.
The guy needed gift decisions against journeymen

    :nod

It would be surreal if we end up somehow getting Hammer vs. Gerber (if Boytsov and Chisora come in with injuries or just totally **** the bed with a bad/no game plan) and either of them winds up getting a title shot - but yeah, they would have earns it by amassing via Highlander-style quickening the energies of Boytsov and Chisora. :think

Any of the four as of now going directly into a title shot would be a joke. However, any of them coming off consecutive victories over:

    • Boytsov and then Chisora fresh off beating Gerber or Gerber fresh off beating Chisora, in Hammer's case
    • Hammer and then Chisora fresh off beating Gerber or Chisora fresh off beating Gerber, in Boytsov's case
    • Gerber and then Boytsov fresh off beating Hammer or Hammer fresh off beating Boytsov, in Chisora's case
    • Chisora and then Boytsov fresh off beating Hammer of Hammer fresh off beating Boytsov, in Gerber's case

    ...that's a different story.

Boytsov is a fcuking chump at heart.

Dude has ducked so many challenges because "he's not ready".
Honestly, the guy has everything handed to him on a silver platter, even after his fight against Taras Bidenko, he was offered so many lucrative bouts, and he said screw it all.
There are some rumours of him enjoying the night life in Germany, a WHOLE LOT.

Dude has no intentions of stepping up, this is nothing more than ducking Chisora, and his heart is not in it to be the worlds champion, he just wants to earn the easy money.

Meanwhile, I know personally of middleweight punchers who have been rated in the top10 by organisations, who make €3000~ a bout and can't catch a break.
Boytsov is spoon fed in the pro's, and he does not want to fight... what a shame, I'd be embarrassed about this if I was him.
