German steel destroying the British as of late

    Germany still is a wasteland for boxing, no offence. There's a reason why the likes of Sturm & Braehmer are so coveted. UK boxing is far more vibrant than anything that exists in Germany,

    Maybe you are on to something.
    It could be the passing

    Remember how Eubank went to Germany and beat undefeated Rocchigiani who was a relinquished SMW champ later to be LHW champ and unfortunate to many against greats Maske and Michalczewski.

    Or how Calzaghe went to Germany and easily handled highly touted interim champ Veit, who would later beat Braehmer.

    Or how Catley went to Germany and took the 0 from WBC champ Beyer who would eventually become a 3 time WBC SMW champ

    Maybe now the excellent Sturm beating Barker and Braehmer who was once losing his 0 to a fighter who didnt make it in Britain, but now beats a faded boiled down fighter who has lost 5 of his last 15 fights is a turning point for German boxing :think

    Whatever about Brehmer he is pretty tame alright - Felix is a great champion, definitely currently world class. Would quite likely beat many past champs too. :p Come on HMB you shouldnt lump Sturm in with Brahmer like that!

    Why putting Felix Sturm together with Brahmer? Sturm is a great champion with great career. Brahmer is just a current titleholder.

    The ironic thing is every German card is now being broadcast on UK TV. Every single one. Anyone know how many British cards are shown on German TV?

    Oh no! What a disaster! Heaven forbid that we as boxing fans get more boxing to watch on tv! This is terrible and must be stopped!

    As a boxing fan from the UK I have to say I am devastated that I actually get to watch more boxing on the weekends, it's a sad situation.
