Who would win between Kingpin and Allen?

I think he still plays a key role in the HW division: a 'name' on the resume of up-and-coming fighters who presents zero risk and turns fights into tough sparring sessions conducted in the arena of a fight, where fighters are challenged to find a way to get past a rugged fighter who is more skilled than the cans they've fought before but only comes to survive. He's like a journeyman+ and someone to get past before the real competitive fights are made. He's kinda negotiated himself a unique position in the HW landscape to the point this is the typical pathway for a prospect in the division:

    1. Debut
    2. nine or ten 'cans'
    3. Kevin Johnson
    4. Career starts here...

He keeps getting a licence until Kingpin 2.0 rises to the bottom, but it's hard to see who....

Kingpin is a rite of passage and not to be sniffed at. Win on points and you take home a commemorative balloon and goldfish. Knock him out and you get a hometown ticker tape parade.

Winner would be determined by ''who doesn't want it'' less than the other.

Why shouldn't he? He hardly ever takes damage, so there's no medical negligence there.

I used to hate Johnson back before I realised what his hustle was. Now I don't mind him so much and actually cheer him on at times. I'd probably feel the same about Malik Scott if he wasn't such a flop job.

Boxing actually needs guys like him. Provides prospect with a tough but not too tough test. Helps them learn and develop.

As long as his health is not overly at risk, I don't mind at all

he's only been stopped 2 times. I think it's still a big achievement to KO him today.
