Some of the fights you cite weren't even in Germany and most didn't involve German officials.

Again, if the problem is as you claim that the judges are bribed, why does it matter where the fights are? Those same judges could be bribed just as easily in Las Vegas, or London, or wherever.

by best i mean "better than the others"

and by fight I mean two fighters who get into a boxing ring and compete at the sport called boxing.

Germany is lacking genuine P4P stars, and has not held a genuine superfight for, well at least my living memory.

It does do boxing well though to be fair. Haye Wlad should be huge.

German boxing events are a house of mirrors and slight of hand and the boxing fans buy into the hype.
To suggest that German events equal that of De la Hoya or Pacman fights is ridiculous.Don't think for one moment that if Golden Boy or Top Rank thought they could make more money in Germany they would promote in Germany.
It is no contest for Championship WORLD class events-they ALL end up in the US,and NOT in Germany where the recent Klit-Gomez fight was braodcast on ESPN for Christ sake, which had a very LOW view Rate.
Stop trying to sell crazy-were all full up here.Sell it in Germany where it belongs.:deal

If there's a criticism of german boxing is that it doesn't have as much spread into the general mainstream boxing media as much.

That said, I regularly check out the video's on the German boxing sites as the quality of the footage and accessibility to the footage is far more generous than the money grubbing cable networks in the States.

I think moreover you could make the statement that boxing is almost migrating to Europe in terms of popularity and success.
