I actually saw some decent fights on ESPN during the late 80's and early 90's, when Al Bernstein and Barry Thompkins were hosting the show. You had a lot of guys like Livingstone Bramble, Harold Brazier, Johnny Tapia, Roger Maywether, Ray Mercer, Alfred Cole, Charles Murray, Junior Jones, Tony Thornton and many, many others.... I eventually lost touch with it around 1993 though...

Somebody needs to upload this fight to youtube.
It's one of those little curiosity fights which I haven't seen.

I was ringside when Bruno kod Coetzee in 1986, after the fight the commentator asked him what his future plans were, he said , "I think I'll retire,I dont want to become a stepping stone".

    1997 he's fighting Barkley!:patsch

Coetzee always had stamina issues and it cost him in nearly all his losses. He could fight and was an exciting fighter. Always wanted to see him and Cooney go at it after Cooney lost to Holmes.
