Given that he seemed to have the best chin out of all of them, that likely warrants him the benefit of the doubt in all 3 matchups IMO.
I’d make him a favorite against all three but every one of them has a enough power to turn the tides in their favor
I'm confident he beats Williams and Shavers but Morrison not so much. I always think Tommy gets kind of underrated. That one is closer to 50-50.
For me, Williams beats the slower more hittable Gerrie. Morrison beats him through superior speed and finishing ability.
Shavers is the one I'm unsure about. Coetzee could out out point Shavers, maybe get a late ko on him, Shavers could tire in the latter rounds.
He'd get knocked out thrice. Williams and Shavers early, Morrison after round 4. Coetzee kind of lucked out against Dokes but but let's face it: he was as overall disappointing and uninspiring as the vast majority of 80s heavyweights. Page was arguably a bigger bummer in his career. No offense meant to fans.
Williams' iffy chin will get tested by Coetzee and I don't think it will go well for Williams. Shavers could of course KO just about anybody but he wasn't a particularly good boxer and Coetzee has a distinct advantage in that department imo. Morrison has both power and is a good boxer with an ok chin. Coetzee and Morrison had a similar problem in that they could run out of steam late.
