I’m still waiting for the option to give myself “likes” and multiple ones at that, per post.

What’s the hold up on that little upgrade?

Loving yourself is the greatest love of all.

No learning required for me, I always have (loved myself), straight out of the womb.

Sometimes there are those who get so badly busted up and discombobulated, they actually think they’ve won. Crazy, isn’t it?

Huh who could that be Swag?
I recall a recent exchange with someone where a matter resolved with an apology & not hard feelings was instigated at great length-even though almost all of the rebuttals were ignored, & his posts ultimately erased, & the pointless ironic order to not correct mean statements never would have any impact except to cause discomfort where a thread was highjacked even after the request to stop for the good of the forum was ignored & that rationale was copied...

But who knows, maybe you meant someone else & another matter & its all a coincidence.
Like someone racist or homophobic that was properly condemned that I missed?
Since I do not recall you being mean & wanting to start another conflict on a thread.

But hardly uncommon. Denial keeps the confidence high and the spirits up, tho it can of course bring one completely undone of course.

Gerry Cooney's Jab is like Gerry Cooney. He can be a challenger, but he can't be a champion. Behind Larry Holmes' Jab. One step from the top.

Wasn't Cooney a converted southpaw? Thought I read somewhere that contributed to the effectiveness of his left hook, maybe it helped with the jab as well?

Thanks - two remarkable things from reading that: the animosity from Larry (which has thankfully faded, they’re buddies now) … and how many were giving Cooney such heavy odds on taking out Holmes. I was aware of it at the time, saw it live on Closed Circuit at the Springfield Civic Center in 1982, but forgot how many fans he had. No question, he put up a helluva fight, but he was facing near-prime Holmes.
