Two white hopes 15 years apart both failed against the very vest of their era Larry Holmes and Lennox Lewis. Prime for prime who wins the battle of the left hookers..bombs away

Morrison faster and more athletic, I pick him to stop Cooney early...

Gerry had this style where if he didn't get guys out he was in trouble.. Especially against good fighters. Was Morrison good enough. I am not sure.

Tommy morrison is crimilally underrated on this forum. The guy had a hell of punch he could be losing a fight and then.. He lands a left hook Bang!!! It is all over knock out clean. Joe frazier and foreman said that morrison had one of the hardest left hooks of all time.

I think Cooneys advantages were size, reach and aybe slightly more powerful, better jab and body shots.

Morrison's advantages would be his footwork , hand speed, strength, better hook.

Both were great but one handed, I can't see Morrison not winning this one though

They both had a killer attack to the body.

Cooney was much, much larger and longer however. He could really whip those hooks at you from quite a distance. Morrison had to close the distance much more when he had to commit to his attack.

Two of the Chinniest boxers in History. You have to be really chinny to be unable to take a punch from Michael Spinks and get knocked out, congradulations Gerry Cooney
