Cooney was a big puncher and he didn't have the defensive savvy of a Holmes and Spinks and thus would be more likely to get caught by a Cooney left. Could Frazier smoke on and smoke out Cooney or does Cooney stop Frazier
Huge difference in size...but Prime Joe's left hook, might get to C00nney's jaw before Gerry's could get to Joe's. Plus, Joe might have the "bad-bass" psych edge on basically "nice guy" C00nney. As Ali once said: "Timber"....Joe by TKO in 6rds, after a shaky time early.
I'd favor Frazier to beat Cooney something like how he beat Chuvalo. Cooney has the punching power to knock out Frazier if he can catch him early in the fight.
Just how many of those brutal whipping left hooks to the body does Cooney absorb? Maybe 3? Then it's alligator arms and he has zero chance to kill time in the ring against a guy like Frazier.
