Gerry Cooney Vs Michael Grant -Tyrell Biggs?

Stops Biggs on cuts.

I think Grant would get a tko in the mid rounds. I don’t think Cooney would like Grant’s infighting and uppercuts.

 

I think hed stop Grant. Biggs is 50/50.

 

Grant likely gets stopped but Biggs could win a decision, kid was a really good boxer.

 

Yeah, Bey, Tyson, and Damiani. Probably some past prime fights too.

 

Cooney was much better than Michael Grant.

Cooney stops Biggs but it would be competitive. Grant gives him a harder fight but also gets stopped

 

Grant at least beat guys like Purrity, Golota, and Savarese. Cooney wasn’t fighting guys who were big.

Biggs had the height/reach and boxing skills but liked to exchange punches too much.

Grant gets a tad underrated nowadays for the Lewis loss but I think Cooney looks like a more natural fighter to me and I'd pick him by early stoppage.

 

Cooney never got off the floor to win and didn’t have any late knockouts. I’d never bet the house on Grant here, but Cooney would be out of his comfort zone if it goes past round three.

 

I’d pick Cooney to beat Biggs. He was also a better fighter than Michael Grant but I’m a little more hesitant about favoring him. Grant for all his shortcomings could punch and even showed heart in coming back from losing to winning. He also took on somewhat of a murderers row of men before losing to Lewis
