Indeed. Gerry got robbed. I don't think Morel won a single round past the 6th

he's a warrior but he should retire he's taking too much punishment althought morel doesnt punch a lick but still. And the fight couldve gone either way you guy are making seems like he dominated big time.

Dude, did you even watch the fight?

The only punishment Gerry took were two accidental headbutts. That being said, he's definitely not the fighter he was.

Except he didn't take a lot of punishment. The only punishment he took was from Morel's head. Morel put no snap on his punches and Gerry did a good job on defence. Penalosa has always been known for good defence throughout his career and hasn't taken much punishmet which is why he can still perform. The only time he got a real beating was against Lopez who was way WAY too big.

JuanMa will be campaigning all the way up at 130lbs in the future, that's how much bigger he is than Gerry, who shouldn't be anywhere south of 118lbs...period. Morel was noticeably bigger than Gerry himself.

Penalosa is OK just not exciting he is a tough veteran but it's time to hang em up.

Robbed here but yeah, i think he should retire. Not much opponent to chose from anymore, and nothings gonna add to his already great career.

He should retire. He'll be a good trainer. I saw him giving advice to pacman when pac was still training for the cotto fight.

Is it just me or does it seem like Gerry is so crafty and subtle half his punches don't get counted and half the punches he slips do get counted?

Same story with the De Leon fight and I have two of his losses in Japan on DVD. ...Only watched one, and I had him ahead by 3 points. Damn shame.

Gerry is the definition of quality over quantity. His low workrate combined with his punching power which is not that strong is what makes him lose close fights.
