Moving up two weight divisions (A MASSIVE leap considering where he started at) and taking on one of the hardest punchers ever at the weight in Ponce De Leon. Takes hundreds of shots from Ponce, mostly hard, clean bodyshots and doesn't even seem to change his facial expression. Moving up two weight classes after 20 years in boxing and taking that kind of abuse is nearly unheard of. Have any other fighters been able to achieve similar feats, durability wise?
Also, poor guys been in as many controversial decisions as anyone, all going against him as far as I know.
I think you exaggerated on the Ponce De Leon fight Ponce's punches weren't thrown with the same leverages he usually uses, and Gerry doged a lot of them anyhow. But yes, he does have an excellent chin.
