Gerry Quarry is a legend. We don't know much about him, and boxrec doesn't even have a profile, however he was said to be a physical freak. 5'4", 86 inch wing span, and weighing near 230 lbs. Ducked by every major contender until he was 55 years of age, when he shockingly KOed than future World Champion Jack Dempsey in a saloon near Kansas City..or so the story goes. Dempsey vowed never to fight another black man. Bivins has his work cut out for him.
