So since this is on a Sunday, does that mean we won't get a main event close to midnight?

Even God rested on Sunday. Apparently boxers cannot. Sad.

Good thing about Cruz is that he'll take risks, come forward and let his hands go. That's the mentality a fighter will need to KO Tank. I'm excited to see what Cruz can do here. If he hurts Tank, I've always had a gut feeling that Tank is one of those guys that might wilt under pressure when he's hurt.

Cruz is too savage, he may KO Davis.

    Let's see what happens.

On Saturday to be precise, if you believe that kinda thing... you don't rest on the first day of the week, you rest on the last (Saturday/Sabbath).
It's the different religions that changed it to Sunday. Consisteny probably wasn't important (not that holy), just pointing out a different day which they saw fit.

I hope you are right! I'd love to see it.

But Davis is unlikely to fight anyone who has a real chance of winning, he's being matched very carefully by Ellerbe and Mayweather.

    This.

As much as I'm pulling for the upset I just can't see it.

    My predictions.

I think Cruz will push Tank hard but ultimately Tank's power and speed is the difference. I hope I am wrong as Cruz is a very likable dude and one that I am rooting for.

Fundora by UD via his physical gifts.

I think Derevyanchenko might be starting to show his age and tonight is a tough test. I'm taking him by UD but not with confidence.

    Ramirez by UD.

Good, good fights coming up today.
I have a feeling the most exciting fight of the night will be the Derevyanchenko v. Adames.
Adames has long arms but leans forward and likes to exchange, this will be a brawl. Fundora fight should be excellent too, this looks like a real test for him on paper.

I'm just finding out they had an All Access for the Davis -Cruz fight, and will watch it right now before the fights. Cruz has a 63" reach lol, good for leverage but if all you do is hook, it's be tough to land.

    My predictions:
Tank by TKO - Under 6.5 rounds.
    Fundora - Stoppage
    Derevyanchenko - Decision

Fundora will dominate. Garcia is solid Euro level but nothing special. He was matched well in his career and his Top 3 Ws are Cheeseman, Rabchenko and Beaussire. Spaniard fought NOBODY. Cheese 1.0 was a dumb brawler with no fight iq. Can see a stoppage for Fundora based on damage. Fundora is average skill-wise but his physical attributes are freakish. And the guy just doesn't stop punching lol.

Marriaga is shot to bits imo. He looked like garbage in his last fight despite starting relatively well. He packed it in after a few rounds and looked uncomfortable and tired. Ramirez is on a good run since losing to Marrero. Ramirez should win a decision and if Marriaga is completly shot he might get a stoppage.

Derevyanchenko vs. Adames is a fight i think could be closer than most people think. Teixeira was a very bad matchup for Adames but fighting SD might be a bit more comfortable for him. I'm really high on SD in general but i don't know how much he has left at this point. People forget about the fact that he is 36 years old and had three high profile fights in his last four appearances. And he ended up short three times and i think you can make a case for him winning at least two of them. I thought he beat GGG and Charlo. I'm going with SD here but as i said...i wouldn't be shocked if Adames makes it close. SD hasn't fought for 15 months and as i said...he's no spring chicken anymore. Turned 36 a few months ago and also had a long amateur career. Adames imo has the best chance of all underdogs tonight.

Cruz is a much better opponent than Bumero. I think Cruz will win a couple of rounds early on. He's a straight lunatic with his style and i'm pretty sure Tank will need a few rounds to adapt. But i'm going with a Tank stoppage in the second half. Tank is too strong and too big. And Cruz defense sucks. Once he's tiring Tank will catch him with some big hooks and he'll go down. Writing about the fight i really don't know how good the chin of Cruz really is. He hasn't faced a real puncher yet. And considering his last few fights i don't know if Cruz really hits THAT hard. The Magdaleno KO could be a bit misleading.
