This article hits right on the bullseye. We are not witnessing a regular robbery, we are witnessing someone refusing to apply the rules of the sport of boxing.

In a regular robbery someone says "fighter A connected 100 punches, fighter B connected 10 punches, I think fighter B won the round". Like it or not that is entirely inside the rules of boxing. No single rule is broken there, the judge/referee simply appreciates facts differently, and it is their judgement what matters. No rule broken, no matter how outrageous the robbery is.

Look at yesterday's robbery to Donovan, he was blatanlty robbed, everybody and his dog saw that he was blatantly robbed, however no boxing rule was broken at all. Not even a little bit.

What we watched last saturday, and the article perfectly spots it, is totally different. The referee decides not apply the rules of the sport of boxing and he decides to do whatever. It is not serious, it is just another level. He decided that taking a knee was not followed by a count, he could have decided that gervonta using a high-kick to kick lamont's face is ok. Why not? He just refused to apply the rules. A ****ing referee refusing to apply the rules!! A ****ing referee! whose only job is to apply the rules.

And it was no mistake, he started counting, hence he knew what the rules rule. He simply decided not to follow the rules.

 

Davis rbr was bellow 30 pages for the main event. LOL

 

Not fired but suspended. Definitely a horrible mistake.

Prolly too good to be true, but would be the right call. The WBA president has stated his intentions to order a rematch as well, so things are looking up for Roach at least. Either he gets a second payday and a chance at righting the wrong, or Tank says no and just confirms his thoughts on how the fight went

 

Gervonta seems to suggest a rematch to take place in May but pretty sure it's all talk.
