Gervonta Davis is easily a top 5 p4p fighter and is close to the number 1 spot

It's amazing how little you actually have to accomplish to be considered for these accolades.

I mean, am I miles off or is this assessment of Davis based purely on emotion and personal preference, and nothing to do with, you know, his actual real world ability and resume?

 

No he isn't.. he's outgrown it, he's been struggling for years in fact.. if you're young & prime & fighting at the smaller weights you should not be putting 12lbs back on 24 hours after the weigh in.. which is what Davis was doing at LW.. he weighed 147 in the ring versus Gamboa.. probably about 150 for Barrios.. most WWs don't even put that amount back on.. so don't tell us he's a 130lb fighter. He weighs more than Pac these days.. like Mikey Garcia he's short but he has a fairly thick frame , he's not slender. You can obviously see he's far from a FW these days!! It's about time some of these so called 'p4p' talents challenged themselves against men they don't outweigh instead of continually weight bullying smaller fighters like Davis' has been doing against former BWs, FWs & LWs for years .. he can comfortably make 140 now. Two years he'll be trying his hand at 147 too.. just u watch.
