I hate this, "he's too young, give him time to develop," nonsense that people throw around. I realise young fighters can't just be thrown right in the deep end, but nine times out of ten, fighters who don't take risks early in their career never step it up, or end up getting badly outclassed when they do. Yes, part of a risk is that you might lose, but so what?

Fans really need to stop blasting fighters when they take risks that don't pay off because this is the logical result of it.

I believe prospects, especially those with decent enough amateur backgrounds should be matched tough enough to have a good crash course in their first 8 fights, and if they're good enough, be world champion by their 11-13th fight. Better to get a career done whilst you're in your athletic prime, too, rather than be picked off by a young opportunist when you've aged.

Naoya Inoue was not a standout amateur and he was 19/20 when he earned the world title in his 5th pro fight. Naoya aside, the other Japanese rising stars are also world champions early in their careers.

The 2012 US/South American Olympians are still not fighting for world championships other than what, Errol Spence?
    This IS loser mentality.

These idiots have lost multiple times in their amateur career and are acting like they've never tasted defeat before. They grew up being friends of defeat.
