Gervonta Davis overly relying on his power will be his undoing

You heard it right here. Davis is by far the most fearsome puncher right now and he can end the fight at any given moment. But just like Deontay Wilder he gives away rounds, doesn’t have a high punch output, starts slowly, and relies heavily on his power to save him even after being outworked. To me I think that is a sign of him falling too in love with his power. At some point he’ll run into someone that can negate his power and not give him any opportunities. The only question is if there’s anyone at the moment that isn’t intimidated and can take his power well without folding. Cruz showed that he can take Tanks power and fight with no fear, his only downside being that his one paced style gave Tank the edge.

I think Ryan García knows what he can do to offset Tank, it’s a matter of how well he can execute a good gameplan and not wilt under Tank’s power. I also think that guys like Haney and Loma would be a stylistic nightmare for Tank.

It's possible, but Tank isn't a slick pure boxer. This is his style. But yeah, I could see Haney outpointing him if he can't catch him.

Talking about these guys like they are ever going to fight anyone worthy

LOL No Fury fans can critisize another fighters resume. Fury's resume is among the worst of the belt holder's.

Don't get mad, get smart, prove me wrong. As I see it, a 40 year old Vlad in a boring fight and ducking the rematch and Wilder x 3, while getting dropped 4 times are Fury's best. Is that a fair assessment? Davis, Haney, Teofemo have Whtye, Chisora level opponents on their resumes. Is that accurate?

    40 year old Wlad
    Wilder who can't box
    Usyk who's a midget
Joe Joyce who is slow as a pudding

    Always an excuse

Totally agree, his punch output appears to be decreasing and he seems heavily reliant that he’ll take his opponent out at some point.

Gamboa was on one leg from round two and Tank couldn't get him outta there until the twelfth? Gamboa is not exactly known for his chin either and was 38 at the time.

Tanks power seems a tad overrated.

Not an excuse. The truth. If my memory serves me right, you weren't talking up Wilder prior to the 1st fight. It wasn't until talks of Fury retiring, that his fans realized how thin Fury's resume was, they started talking as if Wilder was something special. Again, don't get mad get smart. Prove me wrong and post some things of you praising Wilder prior to the 1st fight. Wlad wasn't 40? Was Wlad still prime? You're a history buff. Tell me what 40 year old heavyweight that beats Fury. Good win. The only top level win on his resume. But for you to critisize other fighters for their level of opposition is funny. That's all I'm saying.

Why do people keep referencing the Gamboa fight like it wasn't 3 years ago. Boxing is a what have you done lately for me sport, and lately Tank has been showing his power is devastating.

Of course you would say that. You believe Fury is the greatest fighter ever, while never beating top opposition and ducking a rematch with his best opponent.

Still waiting on your posts praising Wilder before the 1st Fury fight.

If it ain't broke so I'm not gonna critique him much until it does "break". For now he's clearly beating his opponents and I haven't seen reluctant behavior for him to take a challenge either.

"At some point he’ll run into someone that can negate his power and not give him any opportunities."

Not that Davis would ever get in the ring with him before he turns 45, but Loma would pick this kid apart before KO'ing him mid to late rounds.
