Tank doesn't rely on his power. That's why he starts slow. He's figuring out his opponent. Once he figures out his opponent can't hurt him, he usually goes high guard and start stocking his opponents to land big shots. It really depends on the style of the opponents he's fighting.

 

Gamboa has always had quick recovery ability. Easy to knock down but gets back up and keeps fighting. Tank power is far from overrated. His punching mechanics, placement and accuracy helps his power a lot though.
