Gervonta "Tank" Davis currently faces an arrest warrant in Maryland for violating probation related to a 2020 hit-and-run. He is also navigating separate legal proceedings in Florida following a January 2026 arrest on kidnapping and battery. He's facing a combined fifteen years in prison. If he somehow manages to fight during all that I can't imagine he'd be free of distractions or have a good training camp.

Thankfully, Kid Austin if this fight gets made, will rid the sport of the blight known as Tank Davis.
Would be surprised if Tank takes this fight or indeed any serious opponent ever again. He's basically semi-retired and done with boxing. Made enough money and doesn't have passion for the sport. Would be a shame due to his talent but Tank is pretty much finished.
