Frank Martin is the only Ring ranked lightweight Davis has fought.
He also fought Cruz, who either at the time was ranked among the lower top 10 or got a ranking afterwards. Never fought any of the top dogs at 130 or 135. Always someone in the middle or someone moving up in weight.

It's a shame. I like Tank but he hasn't fought the elite of the elite. It's true.

You're not wrong but I'm not sure who that puncher would be. You look at the top 10 or 15 Ring lightweights and there are not a lot of big punchers out there. Even William Zepeda who has 26 KOs among his 30 wins is really a guy who stops his opponents by attrition rather than with huge power.

I am not saying he’s the classic example of a boxer but he can definitely box, he closes you out and traps you and picks his shots, he has no reason to popping in and out of range with jabs and feints, he has confidence in his power and rightfully so, but it doesn’t mean he can’t box. If you compare him to say wilder who has comparable power there’s a big difference, wilder will just throw from anywhere and he will often throw looping air shots, tank shuts you down and traps you knowing you will make a move and he capitalises, I mean tonight he was in with a guy who is known to be elusive and has great footwork but he trapped him and used his main weapon his power.
I don’t think it’s fair to say that his power has got him out of trouble he has no business trying to out point anyone when he has power like that.
I really don’t want to come across as defending him at all he is one of the lowest life forms in boxing but I have a problem with the notion that he can’t box.
    I hope that makes sense.

Teo is the only puncher I can think of around his division. Don't know if Tank would take that fight.

If he did, and won, he would legit be the biggest US star since Floyd. He has that "it" factor and an impressive highlight reel.

He was moving quite well and was getting tired. He knew tank wants to tire him out, why he stepped off the gas looking for big punch. It's a mind game from tank

No, but like I said, he pretty much quit. He was scared of Tank.

I didn't watch this fight. We know Twink is a very talented fighter with big power but we also know he's the most protected elite fighter multiple world champion in the sport and they're not going to put him in against any prime elite fighters who stand a chance of beating him and if they do they will cripple them at the negotiating table or cherrypick them at the right time.

People forget that Martin won a razor-close decision in his previous fight against a fighter no one has heard of and many had Martin losing that fight. Either way, it was 7-5 at best for Martin.

People like to talk about Twink's resume ''ageing well'' due to the subsequent success of some of his victims but let's not act like he fought the same version of Ryan as Haney did. Ryan was much bigger, stronger and more healthy for that fight

And the PBC smoke and mirrors hype machine has been manufacturing world titles for some of his former victims to try and boost his resume.

Rolly won a world title at 140 after losing to Twink but how the hell did he earn a title shot at 140 coming off a KO defeat at 135? And even then it was a supposed to be a gimme cherrypick against a 40 y/o Barroso and they still had to rob that ancient version of Barroso blind in order to ensure Rolly won that belt.

And who did Cruz beat to win his title? The useless Rolly who needed industrial levels of PBC corruption to win the belt off a 40 y/o cherrypick

Barrios won his world title at 140 after his 3 home judges robbed a seven fight novice and he won his interim belt at 147 against an Ugas who had the soul beaten out of his body in his previous fight by Spence.

Barrios got stopped by Twink, got taken to school in his next fight by an inactive Keithy who hadn't fought in over 2.5 years, beat a nobody in his next fight and then was somehow contesting the WBC interim belt in his next fight against a fighter coming off a brutal one-sided stoppage loss (Ugas)

Twink is an excellent fighter but don't be fooled by the PBC smoke and mirrors.

its a bad fight for loma. tank is peaking, and his game is real. hes obviously not as good an all around boxer as loma, but he has fight changing power. and its not just the power, lots of guys have power, its that he is surgical in delivering it. that takes skill, preparation, iq.
he reads patterns well. finds holes in your defense you didnt even know you had, because of of the unusual angles he can leverage a shot from. so he can use your own arms to hide his uppercuts. he throws with evil intentions for 12 rds, which wears you out mentally, where you start to have lapses in concentration because you cant even blink. and besides, loma is not that guy anymore.
but...if he pulled it off, it would be legendary.

Definitely but he’s not shot like some people are saying. He’s very faded though
