Villa is second guessing himself too much trying to look for openings rather than forcing them against a faster opponent, he needs to gamble a little and risk getting picked off and beat to the punch in order to land something big

Wow, Ellis is very well rounded. He just completely outmatched Villa on the inside.

    10-9 Ellis

    39-37 Ellis

Ellis looks like a future high level gatekeeper to me. Too basic to be more than that.

Ellis spent a lot of energy trying to land bombs at the end of rnd 4. He should just keep on doing what he is doing. Keep outboxing a stiff, slow, dangerous puncher.

Wonder if layoff will affect Ellis' gas late.

    Round 1 - 10-9 Ellis
    Round 2 - 10-9 Ellis
    Round 3 - 10-9 Ellis
    Round 4 - 10-9 Ellis
    Round 5 - 10-9 Ellis

    Ellis 50-45

Villa may win this fight with a big KO punch but so far he is looking pretty clueless.

He needs to make Villa pay for those wide big shots he's missing.

    Round 1 Ellis 10-9
    Round 2 Ellis 10-9
    Round 3 Ellis 10-9
    Round 4 Ellis 10-9
    Round 5 Ellis 10-9

Decent pressure from Villa, still not enough landing.

Absolutely, Ellis is in the same class as Ortiz, Stan, and Boots. Lets see a round robin with Boots and Speedy next and winners fight each other later in the year.

Villa is tough and is competing, so respect, but he fights a lot like Glass Joe. Wide slow shots and doesn't cover up well.
