I had Cruz winning the first time as he got in Tank's ass and hurt Tank and had Tank running and clinching for dear life.
Tough won and I think I also had Cruz winning the first one. Maybe he can eek out a decision in the rematch.
For years Tank lurked in the shadows and supposedly his management kept him from Loma or the others because he wasn't ready. Now he's almost 30 and he's still not ready. No Haney, no Loma, no Stevenson, no Teofimo. He fought Garcia, ok, but now how long before he gets another top fight. He already fought Cruz and said no rematch, but now it's on all of a sudden. Cruz is actually way lower level than what Tank makes him look in the ring. Most likely it will still be close as ****. We'll see if Cruz can actually do something different, I doubt it.
I knew Tank would end up taking that fight & that he never ever had any real intentions of fighting the top level guys & especially one being Crawford after which Tank referred to as having a Glass Chin, Even though there was numerous posts/discussions about his next move being a big one, once again too much dialogue spent on a fighter who doesn't even deserve it, Still glad Cruz will be getting a decent purse from this & have his chance to redeem himself.
I think Tank stops him this time. It will probably be his most important camp to date and he'll be fully prepared. After this fight he either has to challenge Haney realistically in terms of purse split (60/40 for Haney seems fair to me) or hope Haney moves up and start unifying some titles in the aftermath. But if he can make a statement against Cruz he'll start to be seen as a legitimate talent and not just a hype job imo.
