Right after Cruz gave Tank a hard fight Tank had no desire in giving Cruz another shot. I recall him repeatedly showing no interest in a rematch for years. And as he showed recently he also didn't want to give Lamont Roach a rematch given how he barely escaped with a draw. His career and reputation has been constantly sinking with his avoidance of top fighters, expressing disinterest in continuing to fight after 2025, and then his legal issues. Most of us weren't even sure where his career was heading or if he'll ever return so the fact that there's a possibility of him not only coming back but to also give a rematch to Cruz is a big surprise to me. I will give Tank a lot of credit for taking that fight if they make it official.
Who cares. He blew his chance to get tens of millions vs Paul. He lost vs roach. Who cares if he fights Cruz. What a waste.
