Well, some credit to Davis here.

I wonder if they have to pay extra sanctioning fees. Or do they get a 2 for 1 deal here?

Absolutely appaling if this is true.

I'm not talking about the fighters. I think Leo Santa Cruz vs Tank Davis would be a good fight. But having two boxers who are reigning champions in two different weight classes to clash for both titles is an insult to boxing and its entire weight class system. It is already been considered ridiculous for WBA to let someone become champions of two classes and now they are letting weight classes to clash too. There is real possibility that this bout would be a catch weight and I can see WBA will allow such travesty to happen.

Pro-boxing nowadays is just beyond madness. No respect to the rules.

Thats the next belt: "2 weight champ".
    They already have:
    Gold
    Interim
    Regular
    Super

And once upon a time, when Gamboa was still at 126, they had him as their unified champ. Meaning when Top Rank told(as I remember it) Gamboa not to step on tge scale for the second day weight in, not only did the IBF strip him, but so did the WBA.
I am surprised we dont have more of these unified champs.
Back then they already had an interim, regular and Super champ at 126. ****ing hilarious.

As much of a ***** as he is, boxing really really needs a Dana White. Boxing needs a governing body that encompasses all belt orgs and promoters. THIS is the type of crap that turns people away from boxing, it is so convoluted.

With that said, I like this fight, but that belt situation is gross.
