Tank patience is underrated. He told us in interviews he was going to take his time and box Rolly the first half, and he did just that.

The more I think about this, the more I agree with you, that he SHOULD sign with Bob. But you know he's gonna have to have a talk with Leonard and Mayweather. And he's surely gonna explain to them "look I wanna make fights with Loma, Ryan, etc" and I will only re-sign with you if you can guarantee that. So then that forces Mayweather's and Leonard's hand to call Bob themselves otherwise Tank would probably walk and sign with Bob himself. It's a fascinating situation. I hope Tank takes a page out of the Canelo playbook and fights the best to make a legacy for himself.

Looking back now, Rollie and his team tried to fake Tank with that whole I'm a knock you out in the 1st round thing. They actually had a decent plan, and he was cutting of the ring well at times, other time following Tank. He didn't follow up the jab with straight punches and combos. He was reaching to the body which was not smart and didn't follow up high when Tank brought down his hands. Tank used a lot of movement, which I give him credit for, it was effective, but at some points you could call it running when he was just circling most of the round with not many return punches. It was smart because then the pressure is on the young, inexperienced fighter to constantly chase, reset, and reach even. Rollie didn't have the discipline to fight it to the end and test Tanks legs and stamina, got really reckless one time and it cost him. Someone like Bivol would have got in with straight punches and tight high guard. Live and learn for Rollie, it was not a bad fight. He basically talked himself into a high level fight that he wasn't ready for. I'd still pick Tank over anyone in the division, other than Loma which would be a great fight which could go either way. His power can make Loma cautious coming in and Loma is also very dangerous in return. That should be the fight next.

It would stupid for someone of his prestige to sign with bob. He needs to be a free agent and sign 1-2 fight deals
unless dazn wants to give him a canelo gggish type deal

Even though Twink weighs a whole weight class more than him, Loma is campaigning in his third division, a division full of giants he doesn't belong in where he's routinely giving away huge physical advantages in terms of weight and reach, much more so than Twink was against Barrios who he was giving away 5-6lbs max and 3.5'' reach. But Loma didn't drop the belt and duck back down in weight like Twink did.

He decided to hang around and dared to be great trying to unify in a division full of giants and big punchers and KO artists

He fought the #1 at the weight Linares in his first fight at the weight

Unified against the WBO champ Pedraza in his second fight just seven months after coming off a terrible shoulder injury and surgery which was way too soon and 99% of fighters coming off that shoulder surgery do not jump straight back into unification match ups or take on an opponent of that caliber after doing so

Was set to jump straight back into another unification fight in his next fight with IBF champ Commey until the later pulled out injured

So he accommodated his mandatory Crolla instead

Then jumped into a unification match up for the WBC belt against Campbell in his backyards

And the after that he jumped right back into a unification match up for undisputed with Teofimo in his backyard with a home ref and three home judges for Teo

And then after losing to Teo and undergoing yet another surgery on his recurring injured shoulder, instead of opting for a much lighter test, he fought the big punching giant lightweight Nakatani who was coming of a spectacular KO of Verdejo and who gave Teofimo ''No More Tall Fighters Anymore'' 12 rounds of living hell

And the in his nest fight after that he fought the giant savage punching former champ Commey

And every single one of those guys is way naturally bigger and heavier than him and he was giving away 7-12lbs bare minimum to them all and like 15lbs or close to to the likes of Commey and surely to Nakatani too

Teo is way naturally bigger than him and possesses savage KO power in both mitts. He's the hardest puncher in the division

    This content is protected

Commey, as said, is way bigger than him, a savage KO puncher who sports a KO82%

    This content is protected

Nakatani is way bigger than him and a very big puncher

    This content is protected

Campbell is way bigger than him and contrary to what many will have you believe hits very hard

And Linares is way bigger than him and a big puncher too

And obviously power is magnified when you're facing opponents who weigh one, two or three weight classes more than you and are hard/very hard punchers for a division you don't belong in

Put some respeck on Loma's name

@Pimp C even though it seems like Tank wouldn't resign with Mayweather, Tank did say a couple of days ago that he is still considering re-signing with Mayweather. You know one thing that was interesting is that Ryan Garcia was at the fight, wearing a tux. But Ryan just signed a 5 fight deal with Golden Boy.

I wonder if Tank would consider doing a 1 fight deal with Golden Boy to fight Ryan, than move to Top Rank.

I like guys being brought along fast but this is a little extreme. It's one thing to set a young guy up to get a boxing lesson like Canelo vs Mayweather, it's another thing to set him up to be put to sleep.

I'm not sure if "what Tank wants" and "what fans of competitive boxing want" are well aligned. If I were a chinny lightweight I'd be waiting for a call from Davis promotions soon.
