Ramirez is tough as nails, but Melendez does exceptionally well against southpaws, in fact... he tends to be a southpaw killer, because his money punch is the left hook.

Mattice was robbed big time against Melendez. That was a disgusting robbery. Melendez won maybe 1 or 2 rounds.

I think Lara may come undone against Spike. His new style will play into O sullivans hands.

    Round 1 Melendez 10-9

Largely a feel out round, Melendez outjabbed him. He may have stunned Ramirez late with a left hook.

Good approach from Melendez so far, keeping his lead foot outside and feinting constantly to offset Ramirez timing.
It will be interesting whether he can keep this up for 10 rounds

    Round 2 Melendez 10-9

Still feeling each other out, Melendez keeping him at bay with feints and his jab.

Maybe, but Spike won't be the one who finds him out.

    Round 1 Melendez 10-9
    Round 2 Melendez 10-9
    Round 3 Melendez 10-9

Luis rocks him badly with an uppercut and some nasty left hooks. Still jabbing, goes for another uppercut, it's blocked. Then he lands one. Ramirez giving it ago, trying to steal back round, he walks into a right and uppercut, Ramirez pins him on the ropes and flurries on him, little lands clean.
