Casuals buy tickets for mostly big name fights. Got that??? Neither Garcia nor Ryan are big names in boxing. They are decently known, but for a PPV?? Hell no.

I mentioned non title fights that were successful on PPV and you bring up that those guys were more popular. Which to the casual just isnt true. That’s my point exactly in these times and that 250K/300K at todays pricing point makes a lot of money hence the likes of Gervonta Davi’s and Erroll Spence Jr have become multimillionaires.

 

They generate more than Haney at the box office by far. That is just a fact.

 

They've become millionaire due to being over paid to fight scrubs for the most part. A 30yo with ESjr's resume at his age would be laughed at 15 years ago.

 

How is tank a bona-fide champ when Haney holds every belt?

 

Both Garcia’s, Kell Brook as champion ,Porter as champion and Ugas as champion is nothing to sniff at by any means.

 

You forget. He beat the champions at 130. Haney will get his shot at Tank.

 

30 years old...those are the best. That's really not good. It disappoints me greatly how TC and Spence floundered most of their primes w/ low level fighters.

 

He wouldn't face Loma, he wasn't ready to face the champ at 130.

I believe with Tanks trinket he's actually the mandatory challenger for Haney, and entitle to 25% of the purse.

Is he gonna accept that split for a shot at greatness? I doubt it. He's held a title for 7 years now and not stepped up once.

 

That’s unfair. EJ has fought the best available to him and is getting ready for Crawford. Both guys want it. Thurman talks a good game but he does not want it from either.
