My score was 8-4 rounds in Tank’s favour 116-112. If I think Tank lost I would say so. I was rooting for Teofimo Lopez against Kambosos and though having it closer I agree he lost to Kambosos. The problem with this forum is people don’t like to give the other fighter they are rooting against credit. I give Cruz credit he raised his game and rightly so against one of the best guys in the game. It’s not about bias it’s about objectivity. I love Canelo Alvarez to death but I knew Plant would be his toughest fight to date at Super Middleweight and he overcame the difficulties to stop Plant in round 11.
Tank is respectful towards his opponents and that is exactly what he was showing. No fear in Tank. You act like he was beaten up.
Tank's match making is all fluff. They keep pulling up guys from smaller weight classes but duck quality small fighters too. The **** is comical. Russell jr. been called for the smoke.
He was eating flush shots, getting walked, and was clinching for dear life. The fact that he emphatically stated no rematch lets you know all you need to know.
Salido never boxed at featherweight after the Loma fight, he couldn't even make the weight for the fight they had. Loma stayed at feather for another couple of years and then took the 130 lb title off the fella who beat Salido.
Cruz did make it awkward in there for him. He makes himself really small in there and the bombs come out of nowhere. Gervonta wasn't used to that. He's used to bigger targets. But he was never hurt and to think he's scared of Cruz is a sign that you can't tell a person's character. He said hell no out of respect because he's the type of individual that needs people to like him. He's too nice imo.
i think they should each move on. tank needs a marquee name and cruz needs more seasoning in these waters. he carries the respect afforded to a guy that went to stale mate with tank. plenty of fights for him to keep improving and building a following now. the rematch possibility will be there as long as he keeps improving. kid is 23 with his first showing at top levels. all action style with all the heart you need. he is worth investing in.
Bigger fish to fry when he couldn’t ‘fry’ Isaac Cruz, you you have a fight that could’ve gone either way like that, then you have a rematch
I actually thought it was a boring fight and don't really care to see a rematch. I would rather see Tank in with a big name next.
