Get it right! COTTO needs Margarito, not the other way around.

    Just stop to think about it. If margarito doesn't fight Cotto he will still make millions fighting someone else. Arum will make sure of this as long as he's his promoter.

    So the whole argument of Margarito needing Cotto is moot. He doesn't need Cotto, Cotto needs Margarito to erase the ghosts of that night in 2008. Unfortunately, this fight will never happen since Cotto is hiding behind the excuse that Margarito lost credibility. Man up Cotto and quit running.

    So by your logic, Margarito should need Mosley and not Cotto yet he's calling out Cotto....

    Margarito needs everyone right now. Cheating **** is lucky he only got a 1 year suspension. If he doesnt get any named fighters to fight him he's going to slowly disappear.

    **** thread and **** logic.

    Cotto will make millions fighting other people as well, and Margarito has demons to face with Mosley (but obviously that isn't necessary as anyone knows how it would go).

    Hmm, to me after the Mosely fight it is the other way around. If Cotto beats Pac then he is right up there regardless of whether he overturns the Margarito loss.

    Cotto doesn't need him at all. In the light of his cheating and the beating he took at the hands of Mosley, a man Cotto beat, Miguel doesn't need him at all. Not to mention he's fighting Pacquiao and has a potential fight with Mayweather on the horizon. What are Margarito's options?

    Margarito needs Cotto. Cotto is back in the mix, at the very top and with a win over Pac he will be the man to beat once again. Margarito's win over Cotto is blemished because of the controversies so he needs to Cotto to prove that the win was legit and he has his number indeed.

    WTF?? Are you on crack or something?? Not Cotto, Margarito needs anyone. He should be calling evryone and begging for a chance. Cotto has a mega millions fight coming up. And still has the possibility of a rematch against Mosley.
    Margarito right now is just a cheater who is coming back from a suspension and got KTFO in his last fight. Right now Margarito is a nobody. YES! Cotto put his knee down during their fight. But Margarito finished his last fight with his ass in the canvas.

    and some lesser but world class guys like

    he'll have a very good resume for a fighter who's only been fighting as long as he has...he don't need Marg, would avenging his only less help? sure would, but lets not pretend he NEEDS him, cuzz he doesn't, it's clearly the other way around if anything

    Exactly. Margarito went down in a much more decisive and emphatic way against Mosley than Cotto did against him. Plus, Cotto has a massive fan following - as big or bigger than Margarito, who's no doubt turned off a lot of his non-ethnic after the hand-wrap saga. Cotto has lots of options and lots of paydays coming up.
