Why would I? I'm not a professional boxer who has been training for much of my adult life and claiming I would go in and fight to win.

I'm not a professional chef either, but I know when food tastes like ****. I'm not a mechanic, but I know when my car isn't working.

Many people have taken on the same fighter and managed to do SOMETHING. They lost, but they tried. Clottey didn't try and he still lost.

Marquez tried. He threw punches. He got off the canvas and kept going. But your comparison is apt, because this fight was a farce roughly on the level of Mayweather v Marquez. It was a keep busy fight against a guy with no chance.

No disrespect to Clottey but he didn't give himself the chance to win last night and that's why so many people are disappointed with his performance. Pac's output was good last night but their are numerous periods throughout the fight when Clottey isn't under pressure and could throw but instead he does nothing.

I watched again this morning and looked for the pivotal moment that occurs in a lot of fights, the moment when a fighter realises that he can't win and as a result he becomes content with lasting the 12 rounds. The saddening thing about this fight is there doesn't seem to be one, it just seems that Clottey was content lasting 12 rounds from the 1st bell.

very different. he tried. can't say the same for clottey. even watching his other fights he did try. this was almost disrespectful to the sport of boxing. i think emmanuel steward hit it on the button. he didn't have the mentality to want to take the belt from manny.

He had a chance being bigger and stronger but he did not try even after being instructed by his corner. JMM tried but he had no chance being the smaller, older and slower guy.
