Biased people from the UK like you would have us believe that ENZO was :deal

You're clearly not well acquianted with the current cruiserweight division.

I can't say that he's the British Jeff Lacy but I can see your point. I think that Haye is very fast and has power ... but i'm not sure that it can transition to the HW division. And i'm not sure that he's the best Crusierweight out there.

Maybe a fight w/ Bell will solidify that ... Maybe a fight w/ Cunningham as well. (even though I have mixed feeling on SS)

I think he will have trouble with some of these smaller HW -- not to mention the new breed of faster, better boxing, big HW's.

I don't see him knocking out Povetkin ... I don't see him beating Povetkin by decision either.

He would beat Peter. Wlad would knock him out.

He is walking the walk as well as talking the talk. I for one would love to see him knock Wlad spark out.

Well who is a threat then? If the number 3 guy who you could get $2M for beating in the biggest fight in britain since Eubank vs Benn was not worth it who is?

yea many people will agree with tht but who actully said haye was the greatest CW ever? he has unified the championship, and he has a great ko ratio but nowere near holyfield, haye has potenital to be great heavy weight cos his career is still starting to pan out , but does anybody remember haye vs ali thread that was going around? that was crazy! we as fans are to judgemental on fighters! we are to fast to react on potential, before even seeing a career path out before we start calling them great!

Don't say that C-Hop ... 1 loss at HW sets you back atleast 1 year if not more. There are sooo many contenders in the HW division that once you lose there are 10 guys ready to leap you.

He can get away with that **** at CW but not at HW .... I said that people have been considering him an ATG not the greatest.

I'm not talking about who is WORTH it to him in a MONETARY sense. That means **** to me as a fan. It should mean **** to you, too, unless all you're concerned about is how famous Haye is and how much he's worth.

I am talking about Haye fighting the best available competition as opposed to moving up to heavyweight to cash out before he gets knocked out.

Cunningham would be a great start.

fitzgerald your posts get worse and worse everytime I see them. Your anti-european pro-American stance isnt wanted on these forums, either have a balanced opinion

    Or **** off.

David Haye has done something that basically no one in boxing has done in the last few years, and thats fight his 2 biggest challengers in his division in 2 consecutive fights in Mormeck and Macca.

Who else has done that ?

People like Floyd Mayweather need to take note, if there were more top fighters like Haye then boxing would be a hell of a lot closer to being in the mainstream again.

I've no doubt in my mind Haye will win titles at HW, did u even watch him fight ? His speed was mesmerising. What HW is going to cope with that speed ? He's by far the fastest HW, probably the best boxing skill of any HW, and his power is up there with peter and wlad.

Excluding chin (Which is an unknown) at hw, he's got the tools to dominate the division for a long time.

So basically what you are saying is that you love Steve and dont care about anything else?

He will lilley pick up the titles when Haye leaves, get over it :good

mike tyson lost to a mandatory opponent in the douglas fight didnt set him bck!
matt skelton lost to danny williams in 2006 he was fighting for the title to years later
lennox lewis lost to hasim rahaman it never stopped him making a name for himself as 1 of the greatest
wlad klitschko lost to lamon brewster he challenged for the title the next year!

jus a few of the many examples of heavyeights able to form a career out of a defeat!

shouldnt be to quick to judge on a fighter before there career has panned out!

Go on then name them. **** the "champions" (excluding Wlad) are ****, not sure what contenders you rate. But apparently there are "a ton" who would beat Haye and not only that but Haye wouldn't be able to stop them, so who are they? Names please.

:lol: That was a joke right?

A more accurate description would be "The new breed of fatter, slower, less skilled HW's".
Remove Wlad from the equation and the heavyweight division is packed with sluggish, overweight fighters who struggle to throw combinations and are plodding and dull.

Haye is without doubt the greatest cruiserweight of all time, and can probably be considered one of the greatest heavies of all time

    Idiotic thread

Well, Evander Holyfield is considered the greatest CW of all time because of two wins: Dwight Qawi Muhammad and Carlos de Leon.

By the way, I consider Haye the 5th o 6th greatest Cruiserweight ever.

Are you drunk while posting? The douglas loss put mike back. he had to climb back up the ladder again just to get a shot at the title again. That was pretty much the end of the 'untouchiblity' of mike tyson.

Lewis' loss was avenged b/c of a mandatory rematch in the contract, so that point is null and void. Had he not had that clause then he would have had to climb the ladder also.
