I have just been watching afew video's of Prince Naseem Hamed, some people are just born to be stars. And Prince Naseem Hamed is one of those individuals, i always remember as a kid in primary school. People talking of Prince Naseem Hamed fights, the man did not just break the mould he smashed it to pieces. A complex, board line out of order person sometimes, genius on the brink of insanity. I put Prince Naseem Hamed in the same bracket as Roy Jones Junior, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, **** achievements and what's on the CV, sometimes greatness cannot be measured or recorded. You are just ether great, or good....................... Joe Calzaghe is never gonna be mentioned in the same context and godly like manner in which Roy Jones Junior is. Lennox Lewis the last great Heavyweight Champion, will always be over shadowed by the force of nature Mike Tyson. Because some people are born to be star's, like it is meant to be. They are simply in the right place at the right time, if you look across all sports. I want Prince Naseem Hamed to come back, let's start a petition. I have a feeling he is gonna come back. Someone who was such a show man, cannot stay away for ever..even if it is just one last time. One last show on Broadway, one last dance, one last fight..... Prince Naseem ****ing hamed.
Blubblerweight..? Do you know how sh*t of a attempt to be funny that is..? Come on man, i think your ok. Don't give me the impression that your **** at life. Prince Naseem Hamed is big because he wants to be big.. like he said.
Naz could make a guest appearance at the Khan Barrera circus. Vault into the ring, blindside Barrera and slam dunk the cheating Mexican dwarf into the turnbuckle...i'd pay to see that.
Naz has had too much time off without keeping in shape. That plus his age and the fact that his style relied on speed, reflexes and athleticism means that he could never be what he was. You said it yourself - you were in primary school when he was fighting. There was some talk of a comeback in 2005 when he could just about have caught the tail end of his youth but then he had the whole car crash thing and went to prison. It would be fun to see another Naz but the original is done. Just remember him for the entertainer he was - a guy who still lights up this board at least once a week even 6 years after his premature retirement.
:-( He underestimated Barrera, didn't train and paid the price, thats all. A focussed Hamed would have beaten Barrera
