I find it amusing how many people immediately bring up Hatton whenever somebody launches a disparaging comment at Witter. The OP was stating that he finds Witter boring to watch, what the hell does that have to do with Hatton?

Yes he did, at least a couple of times. I think he used it before the Lucky Sambo and the Lauri fight, maybe a few more times as well.

That's the thing with Witter he struts about like some sort of superstar then subjects you 12 rounds of excruciating tedium sparsley punctuated by moments of quality action. The knockout of Harris was brutal and impressive but the fight was dull dull dull.

:huh None of the Harris fight was dull, it was beautiful and brutal exhibition of boxing, I'd understand if you said the Kotelnik fight

Indeed Witter's most engaging performance for some time but not exactly box office in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong I'm not anti Witter and I appreciate his technical skill but I often feel frustrated watching him.

The Lynes fight is probably the best example of a bad Witter performance. He actually had genuine trouble with Colin and just scraped the points win imo.

its a shame Witter and Froch are getting the exposure so late , I remeber seeing some of Carls early fight on the beeb but that was before Fraudley f**ked it for us. We have a lot to thank the useless big shitebag for lol !

Are you sure it wasn't just a desperate fan asking if there was a shitter in the house?

Not all Hatton fights are aesthetically pleasing either. He has been involved in some exciting fights but he's not an exciting fighter in my opinion.

I find it amusing how Hatton fans are always on the defensive no matter what is said.

Yup he & his fans are starting to act as if he's some kind of Mafia don people should pay homage to.

I don't find Witter particularly boring

The Judah fight was a long time ago you know...

It's hilarious how people say Hatton should give Witter a shot. Witter is the champion. If he was anyone else Hatton would be begging him for a shot at his WBC title.

Hatton is lineal champ and that will always mean more than a 'strap', no matter what boxers are involved.

Linear champ means nothing. You need one of the main three titles otherwise you can just handpick your opponents.

Linear titles become worthless if the "champion" refuses to fight the number 2.

"Linear champ means nothing"???:-:)-( Is that you Mr Sulaiman?

At the risk of sounding patronising that post is totally wrong. Linear champ is "the man who beat the man" thats how boxing has worked since the bareknuckle days, otherwise we may was well just give in and let the Alphabet Boys dictate. Why limit it to 3 main titles? Lets let the WBO, WBF, IBO tell us who the man is. There are always number 2 contenders, it still doesn't make them 'the man' in a division. Thats just boxing history....Hatton beat Zoo, he's the man until he retires, moves up in weight or really starts taking the **** about not fightng his number 1 contender.
