just cause there are other nations that have bad reps doesnt make it any better! but as you pointed out: 16000 fans came to see hatton fight in a WBU TITLE DEFENSE against a 40 year old vince phillips!!!!! now if these fans attend such a fight, you can be sure of one thing: they didnt go there to see a boxing match because of the quality boxing provided. and that in itself calls the "love for the sport" into serious question.
English people are very passionate about sport. Just cos fans sing doesnt mean they are hooligans. It's about enjoying the occasion and having a good time.
:good I mean some think that all Englsih fight fans are a bunch of rabel just because of the minter hagler incident.
that is not what i was referring to! i was referring to the fact that if such "sportsfans" turn out in bunches and cheer on their fighters when they have one mismatch after the other..........then they obviously are not there for the sport! real sportsman would be critical......and not just plain going crazy no matter what! such behaviour is just devotion to a person (may it be for national pride or whatever). but it is not based on enjoying a sport.
God your one jealous dude, just accept the fact that british sports fans dont think like that, look at bruno,he still had hundreds follow him for the 2nd tyson fight, even though we all knew he was gonna get smoked badly.
Calzaghe was just introduced as the "undisputed undefeated Cruiserweight Champion of the World" by Buffer!:nut :rofl
