I was doing a little research on these assholes and I found it interesting that
this scumbag (or excuse me, maybe he is just mentally incompetent) Roussel
was the SAME judge that was involved in Campbell / Funeka and he scored it for Campbell by two points.

Not saying that was a bad decision i Campbell it was very close, but why the hell would they use that same judge.? He had it 114 to 112 Campbell.

Benoit Roussel is ruining Funeka's life. He could have made the Campbell fight a draw, and since Campbell weighed too much I would think it would be possible at least that that would give Funeka the title but I could be wrong. Then here, if Roussel scored it for Funeka he would have won an MD.

Terrible judging. I feel bad for Funeka. I admire him for not going ballistic in his post fight comments like PM did. Are we ever going to get rid of bad judges? Sadly, I think not.

why would funeka's team not scream before hand about having the same judge that ruled against him in a controversial fight?

Lederman had Funeka winning 9 to 3. 2 judges were from Canada eh. Judges were in Guzman's pockets.

    Didn't knew that...

Roussel should go back to judging school.

But I won't say it's a robbery, more like it was very bad judging.
Pasquale had it 116-112... when you think about it, find two rounds that Funeka won, but not clearly won... maybe the 3rd and 6th... and give them to Guzman and you get 114-114.

Not saying that was the right score (Funeka won that fight) just trying to understand how those two guys could come up with that score.

You know, i think he was just in complete shock that he didn't have the common sense to react and get angry.

Its really poor judging. I had it two sure rounds for Guzman and two semi close rds. So if you give those to Guzman, like pasquale did then u end up with 116-112. Personally, I had the exact same card as lederman and I score mine well before his comes onto the screen. Mine was 117-111. I have guzman one close rd and funeka the other.

Really, these two canadian judges ****ed up this card. I cant imagine why they would be biased so maybe ringside they really thought Guzman was landing the harder shots because he looped them so much. Im just looking to try and justify their scores. It is not easy.

Good find! This guy should have not been part of this fight considering he was involved in the Campbell fight. I thought Funeka could have easily gotten a draw or close decision over Campbell. I hope Funeka gets another title fight soon. I imagine he can fight for the vacant title again because he'll still surely be ranked #1 by the IBF. He's a good fighter. Probably should have 2 wins. One over Campbell, and one over Guzman. Got to feel very bad for him!

    ~ referee: Jean-Guy Brousseau | judge: Alan Davis 114-114 | judge: Joseph Pasquale 116-112 | judge: Benoit Roussel 114-114 ~
~ vacant IBF lightweight title ~

You are incorrect. Like I said, if Roussel scored it for Funeka it would have been an MD, Majority Decision for Funeka. You must be thinking that Pasquale had Guzman the winner, but he did not.

With two guys going Funeka's way and one even, that a Funeka MD, not a split draw, as you stated.

I thought Nate deserved the W in the first one although it was definitely a close fight. What is next for Nate anyways? He is great. I like the stuff he says he keeps it real and actually he is very intelligent in his assessments of most things to do with boxing, people only see the more outrageous comments. I do disagree with that nonsense about Pac not facing black fighters, but for the most part I like Nate a lot in what he says and as a fighter.

Is he going to fight soon? Tons of guys at 140 I hope he can get one in the ring. And I tend to side with Nate, unlike many, regarding the Bradley fight too. Get him back in the ring and stop with the Pac crap.

oops, I thought you were referring to the scoring of the Campbell fight, whereas if Roussel scored it for Funeka it would have been a draw.

Nate never once brought up the Pac thing. A reporter asked him about comments that John David made, and thats when Nate talked about it. We all know that he can never get a fight with Pac, so talking about him is meaningless.

Also, we will be making a major announcement about Nate in the next week or so. Good stuff. Stay tuned.
