Someone that'll teach him technique, defense, and how to control the action. They had him in there trying to brawl with that joker, he didnt even throw a jab, which in previous fights the 1-2 being his strongest combination and the punches that have done the most damage. He should have destroyed that fool given his abilities. Im so pissed off right now. Damnit, I hope this kid isnt ruined.

Yeah, I think a change in trainer is called for. Ol' Grandpa Garcia took him as far as he is going to go. May or may not help, but at this point, Ortiz has nothing to lose.

    a new trainer ?
ortiz didnt follow the game plan that he and hes camped had been working on
at all you can hear his trainer telling asking ortiz why hes not following the game plan ?
its ortiz,s own fault that he was getting tagged as often as he was
and then to make things worse he bloody quit on hes feet

    :patsch

did you hear the post fight interview. ortiz admitted that he did not follow the game plan and said clearly that he was the only one to blame for the way he fought not his traineers.

    This guy wont be successful.

"I dont go out on my back for no one."

"Im young and I dont think I deserve to get beat up like this. I would like to speak normal when Im older."

The guy gets into ONE war and he's considering quitting. I hope he just hangs em up and does himself the favor. That guy cant hang when **** gets tough.

But essentially, I think he let the crowd get to his ego and he abandoned all training to simply put on an eye-pleasing performance

If I were Ortiz, I would refrain from calling myself a "Mexican fighter" from this point on. I really think this boy lost the majority of his fan base last night.

It wasn't the trainer's fault, it was Ortiz's. In the corner between rounds they told him to follow what they trained for and to keep his hands up and not trade/slug with the guy. He continued to trade and didn't follow the game plan. He even said that in his mind, during training camp, despite training to fight him a certain way, he thought "I am going to knock this guy out, I can knock him out". He let the big stage control him instead of fighting smart, keeping a cool head.

  10. I was never sold on this guy. He wasn't even that good to begin with.

Now that he got owned, maybe he will take boxing serious this time out.

How can i take a kid seriously when he just talks gibberish and says he goes to Taco Bell instead of training for his opponent?

Im glad he got his ass whooped. It will teach him a lesson or two not to discriminate and count out other opponents.

not sure an American trainer is what the guy needs. If he seriously wants to get over this, then he needs to get back in the ring with Maidana and beat him. To do that he needs to learn boxing defense and how to pick his power punches. Maidana is a sloppy fighter. Ortiz just totally shot his wad early trying to bang him out and then didn't know how to defend himself. He gave up way to easy and that is going to haunt him for the rest of his life unless he gets it back quick. It was like watching the first Rocky vs Clubber Lang fight. Only problem is I don't see any Apollo Creed willing to help Ortiz out.

Yeah, because American trainers are the only ones who know how to do that.:patsch:patsch. The kid is a "pretty face" let him go to Hollywood and try to become an actor. He can fight there without getting hit!

Why are you pissed off and why are you trying to blame the ****ing trainer.

Blame the fighter, he got himself beat up, he tried to beat up Maidana and ended up getting his ass kicked and then quit.

There is no excuse for that so dont give me this new trainer bull****.
Did he need a new trainer before he lost or got his ass kicked.
