Okay so I managed to develop a style that works for me as a boxer
I'm 6'2 with a 76 inch reach I'd say. How I fight is I like to fight my opponent as he comes in and I use my footwork to dance on the outside. Hands up counter his jab with mine
It's worked well in the past but it has a downside that I sorta let them dictate the pace and counter off of them but my coach says I'm not active enough and it could end up getting me screwed on the scorecards on of these days

Anything I can do to get more comfortable with pressing the action or is it just something that'll naturally come as I progress as a fighter?

Go foward, worst than can happen is you get hit. Just fight tall and come foward, like algieri did to khan in recent memories.

The best way to fight going forward is to make yourself the smallest possible target that you can. If you're short, make yourself shorter.

And always come in at angles that make it difficult for your opponent to hit you. IE, move your head.

Just throw more jabs more often, everything else will flow off of that.

Anytime you start to find yourself... stale... just flick the jab, step in with it, feint it, etc... Everything else will come off of that.
