Getting inside a left hook...

That's really what makes this such a great thread topic. Vito Antuofermo was one noted infighter with vastly underrated defensive skills, and getting inside a left hook was certainly part of his repertoire. Tyson might be worth a look when it come to finding sanctuary in close. Marlon Starling knew how to step inside and secure great positioning underneath a taller opponent. I'd like to see more examples described in this thread, because this is indeed a highly evolved defensive skill.

Leaning away from a hook or ducking low underneath is one thing, but getting inside to be able to counter is a tremendous asset.
