Give me some examples from the annals of time* of fighters this is relevant to.

We've all seen it down the years, be it when more lucrative fights awaited, or simply as a stop-gap in the hope of securing a big payday, many fighters have taken their eye off the ball in fights that they were supposed to take with great comfort.

With varying results, some have indeed still acquired that big fight, but left it tainted by slipping up in the fight that preceeded it, others have not seen that fight come to fruition as a direct consequence of their own complacency.

There's of course the one's that are distinctly obvious to everyone, De la Hoya-Sturm, Judah-Baldomir and the like, throw out some others guys, spread the love.

    *No other annals permitted, sorry.

    Yeah, that's a good'un.

Decent fight, isn't it? I know Jones starts well, but you can see his collapse coming a mile off. I guess the heat + his struggles to make the bantamweight limit really caught up to him in this one. Johnson's relentless pressure and iron chin didn't help much either, I suppose :yep.

Terry Norris vs. Troy Waters. He won but was given a big scare. Fun fight to watch btw.
