I was wondering how often u guys take a punch where its like u black out real quick n feel rattled. Also how u build ur tolerence or if u should besides sparring? Its only when I get hit on the sweet spot for real but I feel that the punches really rnt that hard
There is no proven way of improving your chin, although apparently neck exercises can help. Simple answer, work on your defence. You don't want to be taking punches like that and if you do try to role with them.
You said it yourself - when you get hit in the right spot. There's certain points all over the body that when they get hit will cause extreme pain or you black out. Nothing you can do to prevent it.
i only get the black out feeling when i get punched real real hard in sparring usually by a heavier guy. I havnt been rattled by anyone my weight yet doesnt happen that often, i only usually get it when i dont see the punch coming the punches you dont see are the punches that hurt you i have been hit hard plenty of times where i feel a little rattled after sparring but rarely get the quick black out right after being hit.
if you fight guys good enough that are lighter they will rattle you, trust me i was getting rattled all night by a younger guy fighting at 69 and me at 75 kgs, he is at a very high level am and going pro but **** me he was rattling me non stop, vicious little ****er btw neck exercises wont actually increase the durabilty of the chin much it more reduces the range of motion that your head and neck snap backwards after taking a straight bomb, the less your neck snaps back the more chance of your eyes staying on your opponent, when your eyes are looking up at the roof after your head snapping back your guy has a free shot
How often? Well, I've ever only been truly hurt by punches to the head twice in nealy 2 years of boxing (18 fights). I've sparred with plenty of people bigger than me and both people who stunned me were like 20lbs heavier. Thankfully I was blessed with a great chin because my defense used to be shite and still isn't great. So if I didn't have such a good chin I probably would've had to stop boxing from all the concussions.
