Getting Upset Over Steroids: Why?

Anyone that believes there are professional athletes that are not on PEDs probably still believe in Santa and the tooth fairy as well.

 

The 'everyone is on it' excuse is used by fanboys who's hero's have been exposed as steroid cheats.


Why is it, for example, that 90% of the people caught cheating are black african americans.

Why is it hardly any fighters that get caught are British- and British fighters with a boxing licence- have people randomly turn up at their house to test them.

If, for example, Kell Brook was juicing, why would he ask for drug testing and it be agreed by the USADA, the USADA can't do it so GBP chooses their own drug testing agency (to protect Porter from being caught), Brook has no idea what they test for- yet he was still pushing for more testing.


And if you don't think taking 'roids leads to dramatic improvements- watch any Porter fight prior to hooking up with Conte. :hi:

Its seems to be an american based problem swept under the carpet by american promoters and american culture.

America's domination of the sport in the 90s and early 2000s is highly suspicious - Jones, Toney, Holyfield, Mosley etc

Then in recent times boxers who are based in America like Kirkland, Morales, Vargas, Kirkland, Pacquiao, Marquez etc seem to be joining the ranks of fellow disgraces like Tarver, Peterson, Berto etc etc

If PED use didn't improve fighters then why would all these fighters risk their entire legacy and risk being remembered as an absolute disgrace to the sport?

Its a culture thing, accepted in america and completely despised and condemned in europe.

 

I live in America and I do agree with you. Boxing here in the u.s is a buisness first and safety comes in a few notches down. Boxing should have strict testing on all boxers year round for as long as they hold a licence.

Some of these posters who condone it, should think of it like this:

Imagine if their hero, in this example we will use Broner (who seems to be adored by many steroid apologists) stepped into the ring with the next pillow fisted bum Golden Boy have lined up for him (worrying about his egg shell mandible).

Said pillow fisted bum decided to hook up with Victor Conte and Alex Ariza and get drugged up to the high heavens and is suddenly not feather fisted anymore, steps in the ring and detonates an anti American missle on Broner's glass chin. Broner is KO'd brutally and suffers a brain bleed and ends up like Gerald McCleann (although he's probably more intelligent than Broner even now so that's a bad example) or even dies.

Then what would the steroid apologist have to say?
