Sturm would never ever have won today's fight outside his backyard in Germany on neutral soil!!!!:-(

Huh? Weren't 2 judges from the US and 1 from France? The name mentioned above doesn't sound too French to me:huh

I did hear Gevor saying in the mic that ''it was sh*t a judge was replaced at the last moment''.

Remarkable is that the audience AND tv commentators were all VERY pro Sturm and were happy with the decision, no booing at all.

I agree with you.It was a legit knockdown for sure. But that doesn´t change the fact that it was a close fight. If Gevor was awarded with the win noone could complain. It´s just the word robbery that annoys me here. The fight was close-how can it be a clear robbery?!
Sturm was clearly the better fighter at the end of he fight.

yeah, whatever I say. I was not speaking off or to you specifically. As you have seen, I even agreed with you on the knockdown. But it should be apparent for everyone watching the fight from a neutral perspective that this was just a close fight that gets overblown to no end...like it always happens on esb. Sturm is not liked arround here and I bet you that a lot of the posters in this thread did not even watch the fight.

Sturm was better boxer tonight. He landed cleaner shots, better defence, swept later rounds. He was to inactive in the first half and fought wrong fight going inside with Khoren

Gevor is a warrior, aggressive and tough but he didnt won tonight

Scheisse, because of changing the referee in the last moment, not the judge.
    Biased public and commentators, embarrasing...:scaredas:

the difference is that Reid was not German and/or fighting out of Germany.

Both Sturm and Gevor are fighting out of Germany. So I was expecting AT LEAST some sort of booing because of the closeness of this fight. For me, it was remarkable.
    I see you point though.

117-111 is what a judge scored the fight, if that does not get a rise I don't know what will my friend

Yeah, I think Pavon was supposed to referee the fight. But isn't he know to break guys quickly?! In that case I think he would favour Sturm who was clearly uncomfortable with Gevor's constant head pushing. There is a differences when both guys have their heads locked and when one is constantly pushing even the other guy is on the ropes. When the guy pushes you with the head all the time to the point that you would both fall if you don't retreat, there's something wrong there.

Yeah, the first half was probably won by Gevor and the knockdown was not counted (it jumped off the shoulder and Sturm was off balance). But the second half was clear for Sturm as Gevor was gassing out (it's impossible to keep that insane work rate). It's however amazing that Sturm struggled that much with a relatively limited guy who'd probably got beaten by both Sylvester and Griffin. Given that they are stable mates, I'd assume that he didn't expect a dog fight. He certainly had a worng strategy most of the fight.
