HBO is going to carry the fight. I expect GG's numbers to be around the same television wise. This won't be a ppv fight here. I don't know about in the U.K, but it won't be here...and if it is, nobody will pay to watch it. But I will be rooting hard for Brook!:good
Hearn blamed the Eubank Jr fight falling through on Eubank Sr wanting too much control, lmfao. ****en scumbag...
Brook is big 147lbs fighter,if Golovkin moved down to 154 for this or for Canelo,i would of accepted it somehow. But now ? Very hard to accept this fiasco.
Not really seeing this as a fiasco. It's the best WW in the world fighting the best MW in the world. Brook is a very big WW and should acclimate well to 160. Golovkin is not a huge MW. The size difference is not that great in this fight. I see Brook as more of a threat than Canelo, Lara, Eubanks or Saunders. Golovkin is the favorite but it's not an impossible fight for Brook. WW's have stepped up before - it's the reason we know Hagler ever existed! I also think Brook beats everyone at 154 except Andrade. Maybe I'm too high on Brook. I rate Brook and GGG as top ten 10 boxers in world. I'll accept small weight advantages when we can get these match ups - so no complaints from me.
I think Brook is a better fighter than Thurman and I would slightly favor Brook. I understand that this is probably a minority opinion in the US and I did not mean to imply that Brook is universally recognized as the top 147. Just my opinion that he is currently the most talented and I can't think of a fighter I would favor over him at 147 at the moment.
Golovkin went to the trouble to present a contract, Eubank backed out and lost a huge amount of money doing such. Brook said he is a much better fighter at 160, 147 is too light for him, so time to move up anyway. Brook this will be a very easy fight.............. Blame Alvarez, Cotto, Jacobs, Saunders, Quillin, etc. for refusing to fight him and esp. blame Alvarez..............Golovkin could fight a heavyweight and the same biased ones would complain............
Not the best for GGG but I'm looking at it from Brooke's perspective, going up to challenge GGG for the MW title. That's ***** there. If he does well for himself I think he could do well at 154
Totally agree with you. The funny thing that those biased will be the first one to watch the fight )))) From business points it's a good deal, from sportsmanship point it doesn't look good
