It's not a bl00dy title fight though! Jeezus, over the weight non-title fights for guys who campaign in the same division is commonplace.

Boxing fans ***** and moan over everything including every lb, as long as it serves their narrative.
Whenever Hopkins gets criticized for fighting welterweights, I love to point out that he drained himself down to 157 for Trinidad(158) and 156 for De La Hoya(155).
    But that always gets ignored.

Rolls has been floating around 160+lbs his entire career. His last two have been at 168. So 164 makes complete sense.

GGG got robbed twice in the eyes of most fans and pundits and his legion of haters claim he lost fair and square.

I hope Clenelo wins another bogus decision over DJ just so we can all see on display why he’s a paper champion.

How is Golovkin fighting a middleweight at 164 draining him?

Why... why did you reply to me with this? I wasn't talking about Golovkin-Alvarez.

To be honest, i think it's fine as long as there isn't a title involved, and I thought Canelo won the second fight so...

But Canelo did turn 155 into his playground in 2016

Meh, no it isn't. It's a stay-busy kind of fight and Rolls has fought above 160 before. I think its more to do with Golovkin testing the waters at 168.

What might be unethical is a 49-0 champion fighting a 0-0 fighter and charging a buttload of cash for it.

Ffs Stefan Rolls is a natural Welterweight....

Well at least he looks like one next to GGG!!!

GGG is about 2" taller and 2x wider!!!

GGG looks too big to make 160 now, he's a 168lber now.

I fear for GGGs health if he ever has to make 160 again.

This thread is a joke though tbh.
Who gives a **** what weight they fight at it's a meaningless fight.

Rolls will get destroyed end of....

I personally believe GGG is testing out 164 to see if he can still make 160.

If he made 164 easily he might give 160 another crack!

However I believe he's going to find 164 is still hard work and his body needs to eat....

168 is beckoning!!! I also believe GGG would be much better at 168 and it would hammer Canelo at the weight!!!

However 168 has guys too young and big for GGG to handle so he will take beatings left and right unless he just cherry picks blokes moving up who he can weight bully like Canelo.

Steve Rolls made his debut at Middleweight, his second match was at Light Heavyweight, he's never had one match that was under the Middleweight limit, you scurrilous bull**** artist. 157 1/2 is the lowest he's ever weighed, and that was against another Middleweight.
