I’m taking those odds and I’ll tell you why. This is going to be triple G‘s last fight, and I think he wants nothing more than a deserved win over a man he arguably beat twice. He’s not going to fight conservative or off the back foot like he did in the second fight, he’s going to do whatever he has to do to try to stop him or at least put Clenelo on the canvas a few times so the judges can’t rob him on points. I think at nearly +300, those odds are way too amazing to pass up.

I don't think GGG has much chance of winning, tbh. His legs are gone and he won't be able to control the distance and angles the way Bivol did. Question for me is whether Canelo can stop GGG or at least drop him.

The odds are only generous if he wins. To win he has to knock Canelo out, there's no honest cards available. Canelo, for all his sins, has a solid chin and is the younger guy. I'd love to see him go out on a high, but I think he's done and his last hurrah won't end in a victory.

I'd rather bet Clenelo by KO than GGG at this point. GGG will show up and put on a good performance but his body is getting weaker and weaker, he was hurt several times to the mid section in his last few fights and Clenelo might be the guy who takes him out. I still think it goes the distance but i wouldn't be shocked to see GGG getting stopped or at least dropped to the body.

That's what we would all hope and love for GGG to do but in reality Golovkin is a disciplined boxer. He will most likely try to pick some opportunities in a few rounds to setup a planned 30 second onslaught of violence. Will Golovkin fight until the bell? Yes but still in a disciplined manner. He will put up a great fight, its very possible he scores a knockdown against Canelo.

It's a shame Pastor Dmitry fought well within himself and never slipped out of 2nd gear because if he put his foot on the gas and gave Clen a taste of that real Eurasian heat he would've either stopped him or beaten every ounce of self-confidence and self-belief out of him and left him ripe for the picking for even this ancient shot cadaver of GGG

That's the only logical way of looking at this fight. I think GGG is actually a bigger underdog than the odds are reflecting

He softened Canelo up for Golovkin anyway.

40 years old....can't knock him out...can't win the 10 rounds itd take for him to get a points win... I'd say the odds should be longer

I think you guys are also dismissing how bad Canelo just looked in his last fight. Triple G should gain a little bit of sturdiness going up to 168, so I imagine less pain making the weight, better punch resistance, additional size to weather punishment, etc.

He’ll box. Golovkin know’s his chances vs Canelo are late. He just needs to do what he can to mitigate and deal his damage here and there without much risk early to save up for the late rally. Basically, it’s the second fight. Except Canelo will be heavier (thus more prone to gassing), and Golovkin stronger. This fight will probably be fireworks late, Golovkin might get the stoppage or drop him if he finally goes to the body.
