43-8 is still good so who cares. I never believed these ridiculously high win % records anyway.

I think you should take any pro's amateur record with a grain of salt.

Joseph Parker is the perfect example, his am's record appears terrible but then when you realize he had his last am fight @ 19. Who cares?

    I don't give a **** at all what GGG's am's record is, I am far more impressed with his 35-0 (32ko's), 17-0 (17ko's) in world title fights (I think?)

This are documented tournaments, any record of any boxer in that page is incomplete, in his country boxers fights almost every week, he had a win over val barker winner (p4pbest boxer in olympics) and gold olympic medallist, Artayev, at 15 year old, and it's not listed, even where the fight is on video, what i am saying is that while amateur strefa is great for search results, they can't have every single fight there, still, Gennady Golovkin is an amateur world champion and an olympic silver medallist, better than most pro world champs.

Just out of interest: anyone have a way to check Lomachenko's even more amazing amateur record?

3 of those losses are probably unofficial,or overturned due to incompetent African American judging .The other 300 wins are as documented as those shown.Name one amateur boxer who has ever claimed to have knocked down Golovkin.

What are you talking about? I literally just said I wasn't denying his record. What I'm saying is that he just now found out there was proof GGG had more than 5 losses and he's saying " AHA! I knew there was no feasible way GGG could only have 5 losses!" Like that makes any sense.

The fact is that the 8 losses have been known for forever and yet people are still saying 345-5. That's because the difference between 5 and 8 isn't much, especially when you consider revenge wins such as Dirrel. I don't know why I have to actually explain my posts in this much depth but here we go. 345-5 is repeated over and over in regards to GGG. Most of those people however are casuals who either haven't heard of him actually having 8 proven losses or wouldn't know where to look to find out. It's not refuted because everyone except for the OP finds it completely believable that GGG could have only 5 losses and don't bother questioning it when they hear it. Why the OP doesn't think that's possible when there are people with better records I do not know. Why he's trying to point out fact repeated by casual fans on a boxing forum they don't frequent, I also don't know. Sure there's a few on here who say it but nobody is going to deny he'd have much better success elsewhere.

"How is he going to go 302 and -2, do the math mate"
By fighting weaker, more locally confined competition? There's a reason these 51 fights are better documented than his other fights.

damn James, you must be really stressed out for your boy Jr, if u started digging like this. I hope it made u feel more relax and confident about JR's chances :)))...you must know am vs pro,big big difference so it don't matter that much. Just out curiosity, how did Jr do in ams ? Cheers

I totally agree because an amateur record of 345-8 is shameful, borderline disgraceful.:verysad......:blood
