I can understand GGG falling prey to his emotions, as he is just a fighter and boxers aren't exactly known for their intelligence. But Abel Sanchez just shocks me, because he is an old man who should know better than to shoot his mouth off, talking about knocking out a man who has never been stopped. Before the Ward rematch, Sergey Kevalev kept saying he was gonna stop Ward, and that he had deserved to win the first fight. Now, the world already knew that Kovalev had really won the first fight, but a fighter should never demotivate himself by mentally and verbally projecting a result that he has not yet officially achieved. After the fight, Kovalev realized that he had been psychologically manipulated by team Ward in the per-fight build-up, and that he had learned never to be such a fool again. Here, GGG and especially Sanchez are making the same mistake. Oscar and Canelo are playing them like a fiddle. GGG hasn't been so bad, but Sanchez is just a really stupid person. The only semi-smart trainers I can think of are Robert McCracken and Freddie Roach. The rest are a bunch of former boxers and gangsters who decide they're gonna impart "knowledge" to young boxers. Sad.
disAble probably embarrasses the hell out of the down-to-earth Golovkin but GGG is too nice to say anything about it.
Here's the catch though, Sanchez isn't in cahoots with De La Hoya feeding him information. The other catch is, everyone says they're going to knock out their opponent before every match, and especially before every rematch. Oh and one more catch, GGG did deserve to win the first match, like Kovalev deserved to win his. And the fourth catch, Abel Sanchez has ALWAYS been a loudmouthed ass, this is nothing new. And the fifth catch is, no one is psychologically manipulating GGG, and that's what matters.
which is exactly why ggg will knock canelo out in the 2nd fight. ward took over the first kovalev fight after the 4th round and ended up knocking kovalev out in the 2nd fight. ggg took over the the canelo fight after the 4th and never looked back. i see the similarities.
I think i would normally agree but this aint no promotion this heat is real between both sides and when the dislike, beef, whatever, is really real i dont care what they say to each other. And to be honest on this occasion we have GBP all lined up talking about how their man is "THE CHAMPION" and just trying so hard to act like this Peds thing hasnt even happened and anybody who accuses Canelo of doing Peds is being disrespectful. Sanchez just keeps shouting about everything GBP want to hush up about and GBP are finding it very awkward and im finding it very funny.
Sanchez is probably setting up the gamblers for a GGG KO prop, while rehearsing a bull**** Canelo KO win of some sorts, which will lead to the third installment. What a farce boxing has become these past 5 years.
There is no beef beyond whatever they choose to showcase in an effort to appease fan reaction... AKA for the casuals.
Build-up has no bearing on a fight, nor pre-fight similarities. It's gonna be decided in the ring, and Clenelo's not gonna pull a Ward, nor will GGG mess up his camp. Golovkin has great gym work ethic and already looks leaner than this time last year, plus he started slow, straightforward and star-struck. He has better range than showcased and much more room to improve his tactics. Clenelo's entering under strict drug testing, pressure to prove his innocence, annoyed by the other camp, fresh off a knee surgery and a year of the ring, so actual circumstances are entirely different to Ward/Kov. Never judge the fight on the build-up.
Canelo took Clenbutrenol to help with his stamina and strength. He STILL has stamina issues - though not as pronounced as in the past. Now he is off it, I think his stamina issues will resurface. That coupled with a huge loss of confidence I think he'll try and trade with Golovkin early on and end up gassing out much much quicker. All Golovkin has to do is just bide his time and slowly go in for the kill.
