Ok so I'm a Golovkin fan but above all I'm a boxing fan and for a while now I've wondered about Loeffler at getting the fights for GGG?
Hearn says he's completely reasonable to deal with and Golovkins willingness to go anywhere on the road would suggest Golovkin himself doesn't care about hometown judges ect but that said Hearn has bags of money so maybe that's not a fair example.
I realise that maybe no amount of money may work and has Paulie M says you can't force folk into the ring with him but as much as I dislike Oscar now as a promoter I can't help wondering if under Golden boy GGG would have had Saunders,Jacobs and other big fights by now?

Am I being neive or is GGGs loyal thing with K2 costing him,I'm not suggesting as the champion of four belts he should just pay his opponents like Jacobs and Saunders damage money as that's absurd and is one thing the Canelo bunch on here don't seem to understand, boxing is a dangerous sport regardless but with Golovkin there seems to be a line of thought that because GGG is so dangerous they should get more.

I'm generally confused if under a different promoter things would be any different, what does the forum think?

Jacobs and his people are thinking that they just want more money. If it goes to purse bid, and correct me if im wrong, but if it goes to a purse bid he will make little money and have to fight where GG and his people want the fight.

70-30 final offer will be fair. GGG is running out of time. Not opponents.

So what you reckon,it's easy for us to speculate when negotiations are being held privately, personally whilst I'm not sure about K2 I wouldn't want to be in Loefflers shoes as in Jacobs case it just seems like very other guy that says they want to fight GGG when GGG is involved in his own fight and then when it comes down to it all of a sudden they're wanting another fight with someone else,it's like a broken record,I'd have more respect if they just flat out and said I rather not face him?

I'm sure Jacobs will have been offered more than 75/25 anyway and is probably just trying anything to avoid the fight with GGG.

They have clearly stated that Jacobs isn't worthy of a better split so I don't know why you think that.

Team GGG have stated if they give in to Jacobs demands then every other contender will expect a better split, but tbf not many are world champs like Jacobs and if GGG beats Jacobs his stocks rise further which will lead to higher purses for him and his challengers!!!

There is a school of thought that GGG is still developing his brand and hasn't reached his full marketable potential and I agree with this. If GGG can beat Jacobs his star will definitely rise a bit. If say a GGG fight was worth 4mill, @ 75% GGG would get 3mill and his challenger would get 1mill. If a GGG fight was worth 10mill his challenger @ 25% would get 2.5mill!!!!

They wouldn't have to get a higher % to get paid well so GGG would be able to get more folk in the ring but his team is short sighted and unwilling to make concessions. By the time he fights CEJ he will be 36 and CEJ will be 28-29 and will smash him to pieces and I won't stop crowing on here ever!!!!!!

I feel like the biggest thing is willingness to pay fighters outside of Lemuiex(which GB was main promoter) & Brook(which Hearns paid for) every GGG opponent averages 500k or less to suddenly have to pay opponents twice that likely does put a hinge in making fights.
The only real fights GGG is interested in are ones he can get a big check playing the b-side, if Golokins team is in charged expect a low budget opponent.

So whats up with this fight? Still negociations until the 22nd ? Then Jacobs will see if he takes 25% of purse bid ?!
Is Jacobs training already ? Less than 2 months away, he must've started camp already if he's serious about dethroning Golovkin.

Both those fights we're PPV. One was for unification and the other a big money fight in the UK, so ofcourse those guys got paid well. Also, pretty swift negociations between K2 and Golden Boy & Matchroom. So that says something right there.
If you bring something to the table, you'll get paid, if not, how the hell do you want to get paid millionS to fight a former soviet guy over state-side.

The other argument is how does a former soviet state guy expect more than $12 MILLION to fight Canelo?

Jacobs wants 40% of what ever and GGG doesn't have options, in fact he will look terrible turning it down, it will be damn right fraudulent quacking

He is a 154lbs champ, and he's not even that big compared to Andrade, Nelson, Charlos, JRock, Tony Harrison, Erickson Lubin, heck Liam Smith a full 5ft9.5 dwarfed him.

GGG is much bigger than him but he just wants to pick on smaller guys. CEJ will burst his bubble if he ever grows the balls to fight him.

Ha Ha....Give me a break He walks into the ring around 170 to 175..He has no choice but go to Middleweight...no way you could say He is to small for Golovkin...in fact Golovkin walks around comfortably at 164 between fights Fat Boy would blow out to 180....

GGG looked terrible at the Kell Brook weigh in and he weighed 158.9, perhaps it was from the yoyo weight draining sessions @30 days and 7 days.

He had never weighed 162 7days out before and it showed in his performance.

Why did he weigh more on the morning of the fight then he did 30days out?, he was conning the public he was still hydrating too and would have been a full 175+in the ring. Canelo has never been that big before.
